From leaving college, my career started with a role in direct sales, selling gas & electric door to door! Sounds awful, but it really taught me the best lessons in sales and certainly built up my resilience with doors slammed in my face on a daily basis! You learn to have a thick skin quite quickly! This role also allowed me to meet an amazing man, who became my husband and father of my children.
I have worked within the Recruitment sector since 2005 and worked across MANY sectors! I started within Health & Social Care and Education Recruitment as a Sales Consultant and worked my way up to Branch Manager of a major high street Recruitment Agency on Oxford Street.
From here I switched sectors to recruit Executive’s for the UK’s largest Gas & Oil company. After many years in sales, I wanted to try my hand at the Quality Management side of Recruitment and spent some time travelling across London, East Anglia and Essex, visiting Branches and Clients to conduct their Quality & Compliance Audits.
I became a Director of Jefferson Wolfe in 2014 and have enjoyed helping to grow the business and our staff, with all aspects of their working day.
My role with Jefferson Wolfe has varied over the past 9 years, starting as an Operations & HR Manager to my current role as Head of Finance.
My greatest achievement to date is most certainly our 3 amazing children. My ability to manage a teen, pre-teen and toddler has definitely helped me in my management style and negotiation skills!
If I am not with the family, you’ll find me working or travelling the world experiencing different cultures, religions and food!
