Wind Project Planner

As a Wind Project Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of wind energy projects. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project planning, from initial conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and strategies for wind energy projects.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability and potential risks.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Manage permitting and regulatory compliance processes, ensuring adherence to local and national regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential obstacles, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to provide updates on project status and resolve issues.
  • Utilize project management tools and software to track milestones, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve project planning processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in project planning or management, within Wind.
  • Strong understanding of wind energy principles, including wind resource assessment, turbine technology, and project development processes.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to wind energy projects.
